The daughter of a Manx war hero says she and her family are thrilled, after a bridge was named in his honour.
Major Robert Cain, who lived in Castletown, won the Victoria Cross - the highest military decoration for valour - for his gallantry and leadership at the Battle of Arnhem in 1944.
On Sunday Frances Clarkson carried out the ceremony that saw the footbridge over the town’s harbour become known as the Cain Bridge.
She said her father was a patriotic Manxman who would have been incredibly proud:
