Presentation of regulations are expected to be handed to Tynwald in July
A government consultation into marine infrastructure closes today. (16 February)
Controlled marine areas are defined as:
- Offshore renewable energy generation,
- Aggregate extraction,
- Laying of submarine cables and pipelines,
- Gas drilling,
- Carbon capture and storage,
- Exploitation of natural gas.
Responses to the consultation will enable the Department of Infrastructure to determine how to introduce the regulations.
