Market 'might not be big enough' to support competing airlines

Airport Director says two operators serving one route can cause issues for passengers

Some of the issues affecting passengers at Ronaldsway are caused by having two airlines competing on the same route.

That's from the Isle of Man Airport Director Gary Cobb, responding to concerns raised by Manx Radio listeners about cancellations, delays at baggage reclaim and a shortage of taxis.

Liverpool and Manchester are both served by two operators.

Mr Cobb welcomes the competition, but says the market might not be large enough to support both:
