Peel NRE eyes up site off the Cooil Road
Proposals have been put forward for a medicinal cannabis cultivation centre in the Isle of Man.
Peel NRE, part of the Peel Group, has opened a consultation on its plans for the science and research centre by the corner of Cooil Road and the New Castletown Road.
It follows Tynwald’s decision to legalise the cultivation, production and export of medicinal cannabis products in January 2021.
The company estimates it will generate £90million - £180million towards the Manx economy.
The consultation is open until 7 March, after which planning proposals will be put to the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.
