Week to highlight mental health issues

Outreach and advice to promote wellbeing

Mental Health Awareness Week is being marked in the Isle of Man with a series of events.

This year’s theme focuses on the topic of ‘surviving or thriving’

The Department of Health and Social Care says research shows one in four people – a quarter of the population – will experience a mental health problem at some stage.

A range of tips to help everyone thrive – whether they identify as having mental health issues or not – has been developed to support people and help them to be more resilient and proactive in looking after their mental health.

Events on the Island have been structured around the ‘five ways to wellbeing’: 'connect', 'be active', 'take notice', 'keep learning' and 'give'.
