Yellow weather warning coming in at 11pm
Manx Grand Prix competitors, and their teams, have been urged to secure their awnings, tents and gazebos as the Island prepares to be hit by gale force winds.
A yellow weather warning will come into force from 11pm (20 August).
It’s due to remain in place until 3pm on Thursday; you can find out more HERE.
Bad weather conditions saw the cancellation of tonight’s qualifying session.
It means tomorrow afternoon’s contingency session will be used instead; an update on the schedule is expected at 8am tomorrow (21 August).
Provisionally it is showing both a daytime and evening session.
Contingency sessions for Thursday afternoon, Friday evening and Sunday afternoon have all been made available to the clerk of the course.
These may be utilised to accommodate qualifying and race periods.
