Veteran rider says it still plays key role in rider development
The Manx Grand Prix remains a 'very important' part of the Isle of Man's heritage and identity according to a veteran of the event.
Dave Madsen-Mygdal has amassed a large number of starts and finishes, at MGP and TT, since first competing in the former in 1981.
As well as racing himself he's also one of the coaches for new, and less experienced riders, at the Manx Grand Prix.
After over four decades of racing here Madsen-Mygdal told Manx Radio the event has certainly changed over the years:
Further sailings cancelled due to adverse weather
UK Government under scrutiny over Manx assisted dying legislation
Men jailed for £49,000 cocaine ferry importation plot
Warning in place as hill snow expected overnight
