Claims of serious flaws in process
An MHK has called the Island's planning system into question after a heated discussion in the House of Keys this week.
DEFA Minister Geoffrey Boot was questioned over the number of decisions by the Independent Planning Inspectorate he had overturned since taking office.
Mr Boot supports the power for politicians to overrule the advice of planning inspectors.
But Garff member Daphne Caine says there are serious flaws in the current process, as highlighted by a case in her own constituency.
