Network expected to close next year
One of the Island's largest eGaming companies is shutting down its online poker operations.
Microgaming plans to close the network next year.
Managing Director for the company, Alex Scott, made an announcement via a blog post which says it expects the network to close in 'Q2 or Q3 of 2020.'
This was later followed by an official statement from the company which says the decision follows an extensive internal review.
CEO of Microgaming, John Coleman, says 'the network model no longer fits with our strategic vision for poker, and this is the right time to announce the closure as we focus on redistributing key resources and personnel across the business.'
The closure will be fully detailed on the Microgaming blog in the coming weeks.
