Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne says he wouldn’t miss the Legislative Council if the system were to be revamped.
Speaking on yesterday’s (Sunday) Present Politics programme on Manx Radio, he said he’d welcome changes which would mean more politicians are elected by the public.
But instead of voting for Legislative Council members, Mr Gawne said he’d scrap LegCo and have a 32-seat House of Keys.
He told John Moss legislation would still be scrutinised:
CoMin making 'significant and determined efforts' to implement recommendations from Ranson review
Rain events 'difficult to forecast' on the Isle of Man
Planning permission granted for 26 industrial units
Port St Mary Commissioners urging residents not to 'struggle in silence'
