Cross-government consultation on consultation to go ahead
Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas has laid forth his department's plans for a comprehensive review of government's consultation process.
Mr Thomas told the House of Keys today (6 Dec) a cross-government investigation into public engagement will take place.
He's hoping to develop a more flexible and inclusive approach to the consultation process, and asks the public for feedback via the government's website, or by e-mailing: change@gov.im.
Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper had asked the minister whether the current process will be reviewed, and if so, when the findings will be reported to Tynwald.
Mr Thomas hoped the media would overlook the irony of the situation:
Main road between Peel and Douglas to shut for tree felling
'Targeted and intelligence led approach' to protect Island's borders during Irish sailings
Airport Director role advertised with top salary of £120,000
