Eddie Teare confirms "not during this administration"
The Treasury minister says he doesn't know when a new rating system for Island properties will come in.
The hope had been it would happen before next year's Manx General Election, but Eddie Teare has confirmed that won't now be possible.
He says the changes would require primary legislation first, and there continues to be a shortage of legislative draughtspeople at the Attorney General's Chambers, although there have been attempts to recruit more.
Mr Teare says he can't make any guarantees, given any new system will now be in the hands of the next administration:
