Smartphones and logistics among areas to benefit, says minister
The Policy and Reform Minister hopes proposed changes to telecoms planning rules will ensure Manx residents can make the most of new technology.
Government is currently seeking feedback on plans to make it easier to install small-scale telecommunications equipment, particularly for fast fibre and 5G.
If given the go-ahead, the new policy would mean items such as roadside cabinets and some antennas wouldn't require planning permission.
Chris Thomas says this affects a range of areas:
Calls for forensic Manx Care audit 'misguided'
Minimum Wage Committee agrees with rate change
Consultation to protect Manx charities from terrorist financing
This morning's Heysham and Liverpool sailings cancelled
