EasyJet pledges to fly to Island
Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly has given a cautious welcome to the news EasyJet wants to fly between Heathrow and the Isle of Man.
Yesterday, the UK’s airports commission announced it would back the expansion of the London airport over Gatwick – leading EasyJet to repeat its pledge to set up a base there and fly to Ronaldsway.
The UK government has yet to make its final decision, and the work could take decades to finish.
But Mr Skelly says Heathrow is a destination that’s always been in demand:
