Mixed reaction to Big Debate in Ramsey

Around 80 people attended the second of the government's Big Debate meetings in Ramsey last night (Tues)

The meetings have been billed as a national conversation on issues such as the economy and the welfare state and members of the public are randomly selected from the electoral register to attend the meetings.

The aim is to hear the views of those who wouldn't normally attend such meetings.

After criticisms of the first meeting in Peel, some changes were made to the structure of the evening with just 8 questions in total through the evening.

However, there was still a mixed reaction from these audience members.

Some felt the questions still weren't direct enough . .

Minister of Policy and Reform Chris Robertshaw said it was another very interesting evening . . and it's an evolving process
