Paul Craine says IOM has one of the oldest populations in the world
A stark warning about the Isle of Man's growing population imbalance has been issued by a member of the Legislative Council.
Paul Craine says the Island's population structure shows extreme imbalances relating to ageing, net migration of young adults, declining births and a fall in the number of women of child-bearing age.
Mr Craine has published a detailed paper on the topic on his personal Isle of Man Population website and says the matter needs to be addressed:
Further sailings cancelled due to adverse weather
UK Government under scrutiny over Manx assisted dying legislation
