More models will see increase in electric vehicles on Manx roads

Charging points provider hopes to work with Manx Utilities

The number of electric cars being used in the Isle of Man will grow now that more manufacturers are making all-electric models.

That's according to Daniel Eyers of PodPoint - a UK-based company that's bidding to work with Manx Utilities to provide charging points across the Island.

A government report published in March last year showed there were just under 250 electric vehicles registered on the Isle of Man, with a target for there to be 10,000 by 2030.

Mr Eyers, who's PodPoint's technical sales manager, believes the greater range of cars will result in more drivers going electric:
