More 'open night' dates added at observatory

Second event to take place later this month

The Island's observatory has announced more 'open night' tour dates, following the success of its first one last month.

The Isle of Man Astronomical Society was behind the night-time event, showing a group of 40 people the wonders of space with both the telescope and naked eye.

Following what it describes as a 'very successful night', the society has decided to run the event again throughout the winter months.

A second 'night at the observatory' will now be held on 27 November, starting at 7:30pm and finishing at around 10pm.

Each event is limited to forty places, at a price of £10 each, and it's situated on the Lhoobs Road, on the outskirts of Foxdale.

Tickets details can be found through Eventbrite.
