Sale of wood has brought in almost £3million since 2023
They may have been felled around 20 years later than originally planned, but wood from the Island's plantations is now being widely sold.
In three years, the harvest has brought in around £3 million, with more felling planned.
There are plans for native broadleaf trees to be planted in between the stumps on the cleared land.
