West Douglas MHK Chris Thomas says he’s honoured to be putting a petition against the toilet tax to Tynwald.
More than 6,000 people have signed the online petition since it was set up almost a fortnight ago, opposing the £50 flat charge announced by Water and Sewerage Authority Chairman John Houghton.
Mr Thomas says he’ll also ask the court to consider whether new rules are needed to accept e-petitions more easily in the future.
And he says he’s also putting more questions about the levy in the House of Keys next week because it goes against two of his political principles:
