More than £700,000 to overseas aid

Donations go into UK disaster relief fund

The Isle of Man has donated more than £700,000 to international aid in the last financial year.

The Cabinet Office says the figure, which is a little over £728,000, is from April 2017 to April this year.

The money goes into the UK's disaster relief fund, and is then distributed as and where there's need.

It comes as the death toll rises to more than 1,200 people in the wake of a major earthquake and tsunami in Indonesia.
