The Mountain Road and Creg ny Baa back road will remain closed until at least 11 am today (Jan 30) due to ice and snow.
An early evening flurry meant in the region of 40 motorists were temporarily stuck last night.
Police and infrastructure workers, using a gritter, helped clear the immediate danger and escorted motorists off the mountain.
However, the road was closed due to further wintry showers and will be shut until late morning.
