Police ask people to be 'mindful' due to closed road
Motorists are being urged to consider their journeys this evening due to an ongoing road closure.
The Sloc remains closed between the top of the Round Table and the area of Lower Scard Farm.
It follows an incident in the area at around 12.10am which has resulted in an 'open area search'.
Police say the road is likely to remain shut until 5pm today.
Officers are asking people to be ‘mindful’ of how that may impact during rush hour traffic and have told people to continue to avoid the area.
UPDATE @ 5PM: Police have extended the road closure until at least 7pm tonight.
