The Department of Infrastructure says the Mountain Road will remain shut until at least 5pm today because of snow.
But the roads leading to it won’t be reassessed again until tomorrow as workers battle to clear them.
The Mountain Road did reopen yesterday afternoon, but was closed off after recently-cleared snowdrifts were blown back over the route.
In its latest update, the department says the Beinn-y-Phott, Brandywell Road, Injebreck, Sulby Glen, Sloc and Round Table will be inspected at midday on Friday.
