It follows Storm Arwen
The Steam Packet Company says it's drafted in another vessel to help with a freight backlog caused by this weekend’s stormy weather.
The MV Arrow sailed to the Island yesterday to help ease the demand for freight after crossings were cancelled in the face of Storm Arwen.
Managing director Brian Thomson says using the Arrow will release more Ben-my-Chree car deck spaces for passengers affected by disruption.
And he says having the ship in reserve means the company can meet its commitment to transporting essential items to the Island.
