'We're not killjoys' say commissioners
Civic heads in Onchan are not out to be killjoys.
So insist commissioners after new by-laws came into effect in the district.
They provide the power to issue fines of up to £2,500 to people who are repeatedly found causing a disturbance or being a nuisance.
However, local authority clerk Michael Morrison says the laws are only in place as a deterrent and should not impact on popular community events.
