It's been a long time coming but the Steam Packet Company has appointed the first female director in its 180 year history.
Andrea Finegan has 10 years boardroom experience with infrastructure companies.
She's one of two new board appointments.
The other is Erik Ostergaard who's currently chief executive of an organisation representing 3,000 Danish transport and logistics companies.
Both appointments follow resignations from Steam Packet parent company Macquarie.
