The new Chief Fire Officer says there could be job losses and station closures in the coming year.
That's according to Kevin Groom who was appointed as the new chief this lunch-time.
Mr Groom joined the Island's fire service in 1982 and has served at every rank in the operational and community safety sides of the brigade.
Mr Groom says the fire service will have to look at the size of its work-force ahead of the new budget:
Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital closure 'inconvenient' but 'significant issues' need to be fixed
Four local authorities looking for by-election candidates
Reinstatement of home births 'remains at top of agenda' for Manx Care
Weekend sailings at risk
