The Scottish Crown Office has agreed is to open a fatal accident enquiry into the death of eleven time T.T. winner Steve Hislop, almost four years after the fatal helicopter crash.
The Air Accident Investigation Branch report into the incident in the Scottish Borders concluded that "pilot error was probably to blame" although a malfunction "could not be eliminated".
The family and friends have been pressing for further investigations saying the AAIB had failed to take account of many witness statements describing low flying military aircraft in the area at the time of the accident.
