Annual rent adjustments to be directly linked to the previous year’s September Consumer Price Index
The infrastructure minister says a new system for public sector rent increases will stop local authorities assuming that government will top up any deficiencies.
From next year, annual rent adjustments will be directly linked to the previous year’s September Consumer Price Index (CPI).
There will also be an optional one percent adjustment available for housing organisations.
