A chance to welcome new species
A local charity believes seeing different marine life around the Island's coast can point to the arrival of spring.
The start of the warmer months see Risso's dolphins and harbour porpoises come to Manx waters, and they can surface close to shore.
Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch has been monitoring sightings of marine mammals all year round since it was set up in 2006.
In that time, it's discovered five main species who regularly visit the Isle of Man, including bottlenose dolphins and minke whales.
Outreach and Education Manager Jen Adams says the Island itself is a wonderful base from which to see them:
