Infrastructure Minister pleased with outcome of Tynwald vote
New 20mph speed limits in some residential areas and near schools will make the Island's roads safer.
Infrastructure Minister Tim Baker made the statement after his amended motion from July, was unanimously voted through in Tynwald yesterday (22 October).
He's now tasked with implementing the new system by March 2021.
Speaking with Alex Wotton, Mr Baker wants to reassure people the restrictions won't apply to all residential roads:
Red Arrows reduced to seven jets ahead of TT display
Police arrest biker caught doing "more than 100mph in a 50mph zone"
Pre-TT Classic: Roads to close for qualifying and racing sessions
