Company says 'problem has been fixed' but tests are needed
The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company has confirmed free drinking water is not currently available to passengers travelling on the Manxman.
It's due to an issue 'with air in the freshwater supply'.
In a statement issued on X (formerly known as Twitter) the company says the problem has been fixed, but as a precaution it is 'waiting on test results to ensure the water can be consumed'.
Manx Radio contacted the Steam Packet Company for comment earlier today after passengers shared their concerns - the company is yet to respond directly to our request.
Hot drinks are unavailable on this sailing. Cold drinks are available from retail outlets and in lounges. This is due to an issue with air in the freshwater supply. We have fixed the problem but as a precaution are waiting on test results to ensure the water can be consumed.
