Heron and Brearley announce no platform in Parliament Square
There's to be no grandstand in Ramsey for this year's TT.
The platform is organised by Heron and Brearley, and is usually erected outside the Swan pub in Parliament Square.
However the brewery says it won't make up part of the town's viewing this year as "it distracts from [the] successful fine ale and food offer at The Swan".
It adds that there have been mixed reactions to the grandstand in the past, "with no real encouraging uptake from visitors to use the facility".
Heron and Brearley says it's pleased to say Okell's is supporting the inaugural Sprintfest, with entertainment in Market Square from Sunday 2 to Tuesday 4 June, of race week.
