Noble's volunteers show how it's done

If you've been considering taking on voluntary work, but haven't offered your services yet, now is a good time to take up the challenge.

Volunteers' Week in the Isle of Man was launched on Saturday with a display by the Noble's Hospital volunteer service at the Sea Terminal.

This year, other health-related organisations have been invited to join in, to promote the vital work done by people prepared to give up a bit of their own time.

The week also serves as a recruitment drive for local charities.

Manager of the Volunteer Service at Noble's Alison Lester says their volunteers perform tasks which simply wouldn't be done otherwise (play audio file):

You can contact the Volunteer Service office at Noble's Hospital on 650720.
