Ramsey Commissioners says it's 'crucial' for residents in the north to be able to access government services without having to travel to Douglas.
Chair Sandra Cottam-Shea believes there is a 'comprehensive' third sector and public sector but often the disconnect can leave people stuck.
A scheme will see the town be used as a 'regional hub' for government services including digital support, signposting and assistance with government forms and applications.
Mrs Cottam-Shea says the town hall is there to 'serve' the residents of Ramsey.
