Change of plea at Douglas Courthouse
A Scottish firm will be sentenced next month after its vessel was caught fishing in Manx waters without a licence.
The Star Fishing Company Limited, which is based in Oban, allowed its boat ‘Star of Jura’ to catch king scallops on 3 December.
The company had previously denied the offence but its advocate changed the plea to guilty during an appearance at Douglas Courthouse.
Sentencing is due to take place on 24 October.
