Chairman confirms sacking of clerk
The chairman of Onchan District Commissioners has confirmed the contract of the local authority's clerk has been terminated.
It follows claims from Michael Morrison he was asked to take a pay settlement and state publicly that he'd resigned.
Anthony Allen says the decision came into effect immediately.
A statement from the commissioners hasn't given a reason and says they're not commenting on any claims made by Mr Morrison as they respect the 'confidential nature of the employment relationship'.
