Beach Buddies and DoI team up to run scheme
The Island's footpaths may soon get a welcome facelift under a new initiative involving the government and a local charity
Beach Buddies has been given funding worth £25,000 to pilot a scheme with those doing community service and with probation orders to tidy public paths and rights of way.
The charity is working in collaboration with the Department of Infrastructure, which has a 10-year improvement plan for popular coastal routes.
Beach Buddies is asking any local authorities or groups to submit applications for specific paths that need a tidy by emailing beachbuddiesisleofman@gmail.com.
