
The Office of Fair Trading says it’s anticipating a busy time in future as rising inflation leads to higher prices in the Island.
It’s already held a series of investigations into fuel and energy prices and the latest of those showed Manx Gas isn’t ripping off its customers.
But chairman of the OFT Bill Henderson says inevitably there’ll be consumer concern as food prices continue to rise.
And he says the office will do what it can to help, although its powers are limited (audio file attached):
