Trial run for connectVillages
An on-demand bus service begins in the north of the Island today (Mon 3rd)
connectVILLAGES gives passengers from Andreas, Bride and Maughold the chance to be collected from their homes and dropped off at a destination of their choice.
It's hoped the service will cut down on the number of empty buses running in rural areas.
Initially this is being run as a trial, but Jason Moorhouse - the political member with responsibility for public transport - says it could be expanded to other areas.
