Minister believes authority will join in time
Government will continue to encourage Onchan commissioners to join a shared housing list scheme.
In Keys this morning Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer confirmed that the local authority still wasn't participating in the initiative, which he believed was of national benefit.
He told the House over 21% of the 90 families housed since the scheme's inception in 2016 benefited from having their needs met from outside their own local authority.
However, he told questioner Lawrie Hooper that he believed Onchan WOULD join the scheme in time . .
