Rob Callister sent a 16-page 'basic blueprint' to keys members for consideration

An Onchan MHK has circulated his manifesto to become the Island's next chief minister to members of the House of Keys. 

It's a 16-page 'basic blueprint' which highlights his plans including a more effective government, sustainable healthcare, connectivity and building a stronger economy.

If elected Chief Minister, my approach would be built around five simple principles: unity of purpose, delivery over process, financial responsibility, respect for expertise and accountability. These principles would shape how the next administration works, how priorities are agreed, how public money is used, and how progress is reported to Tynwald and the public

Rob Callister, who is entering his third term as an MHK, says he believes the challenges ahead will require clear priorities, sound decision-making and a commitment to working collectively in the national interest.

He's asked members to let him know of their support by Monday, 5 October.

This manifesto sets out the approach I would bring to the role of Chief Minister: focused, disciplined, open and determined to deliver. It is not intended to be the final word on every issue, but a serious starting point for a Government that listens, works together and acts with real purpose.
