Accused of rape and child sex abuse

One of Poland’s most wanted criminals has been arrested at Heysham after travelling from the Isle of Man.

Marian Dorobek, 68, is accused of rape and child sex abuse in his home country.

He was arrested by police with a European arrest warrant as the boat docked in Lancashire on Wednesday lunchtime.

He's been taken to Wandsworth prison and will appear at Westminster Magistrates Court  for an extradition hearing.

Manx Chief Constable Gary Roberts has praised  the ‘excellent work’ of the Isle of Man force to trace and identify someone considered a ‘very dangerous man’.
