Police say enquiries remain ongoing following incident in Port Erin
Police have confirmed one person has died as a result of yesterday's light aircraft crash at Bradda Head in Port Erin.
Enquiries remain ongoing after the privately owned plane crashed into the cliff face at around 1pm on 17 July.
The Isle of Man Constabulary had previously said it happened just after midday.
Officers say the person's family are receiving support from specially trained officers as the investigation into the circumstances - which involves air crash investigators - continues.
They've spoken to a number of people who were present when the collision occurred.
Further details won't be released while officers continue to investigate on behalf of the coroner.
Water, and the air space, around the crash scene will remain closed until at least Friday - a scene guard also remains in place.
This includes a ban on drone operations with the public being asked to avoid the area until further notice.
Anyone who has video footage of the incident is asked to contact Police Headquarters.
