Cyberbullying will be one of the topics of conversation when child protection workers, the police, teachers, social workers and charities gather in the Island later this month for a conference.
The issue was thrust into the spotlight locally recently when an inquest heard one of the main factors leading to the suicide of 19-year-old Caitlin Alker was the abuse she was subjected to on Facebook.
Her mother Michelle has launched an anti-cyberbullying campaign in the wake of the loss of her daughter.
'Isle of Man: Making Children Safer Online' is set to take place at Mount Murray on November 22.
It's been organised by INEQE Safe and Secure - a risk, security and child protection consultancy from the UK.
