An animated film made partly in the Isle of Man is included in the list of Oscar nominations released today (Tuesday).
'Chico and Rita' is in the running for Best Animated Feature Film.
It's a love story about a songwriter and a dancer, set in Cuba, New York, Las Vegas and Paris, in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
Ten animators from the Island were employed during its production.
Chico and Rita faces competition from 'A Cat in Paris', 'Kung Fu Panda 2', 'Puss in Boots' and 'Rango'.
It was co-funded by CinemaNX, which also distributed the movie in the United Kingdom.
The 84th Academy Awards take place in Los Angeles at the end of February.
It's understood to be the first time a film with such strong Isle of Man connections has received an Oscar nomination.
