Barber loses seat in Douglas East constituency
A former MHK says she hopes the next House of Keys will ‘fight for justice, equality and inclusion’.
Clare Barber wasn’t returned by her constituents in Douglas East after a decade of representing the area.
She was beaten in the race by newcomer Andy Saunders and her constituency colleague of the last five years Joney Faragher.
Mr Saunders topped the poll with 820 votes with Ms Fargher, who is a Manx Labour Party representative, gained 682.

Mrs Barber was appointed Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister in 2021.
