An MHK is taking up the Scottish Power mis-selling scandal in Tynwald today (21 June).

More than 600,000 customers lost out, when a warranty cashback scheme failed to pay out in 2012.

An all-party parliamentary group at Westminster criticised the Manx financial regulator at the time - the Insurance and Pensions Authority.

It had official oversight of the firm offering the scheme's domestic appliance insurance.

South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft says she's not satisfied with answers from the Treasury minister - and now wants the affair examined by Tynwald's Public Accounts Committee.

Mrs Beecroft says the regulator, now the FSA, did not carry out its duty:
