The Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading will not be producing a report of its investigation into pricing at the Steam Packet.
The government body launched the study late in 2009, and it covered the six years of trading up to that time.
However, that was before Mezeron emerged as a competitor for freight traffic on the Liverpool route, from 2010 into the early part of this year.
It was also before the withdrawal from service of one of the Packet's vessels and the change in ownership and financial structure of company, and their potential impact on its trading position.
Chief officer at the OFT Paul Gelling told Dan Walker more about the decision not to publish:
More services to be temporarily relocated from Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital
